Sam Heughan took to social media and shared a montage of him and Caitriona Balfe laughing throughout press shoots.
The Balmaclellan-born actor has played Jamie Fraser in Outlander since 2013, alongside Caitriona as his on-screen wife Claire Fraser. Taking to Instagram on Friday, Sam, 42, penned a sweet tribute to Outlander's leading lady Caitriona, alongside an adorable video of them laughing together over the years.
The video starts with the two in costume, ready to introduce themselves before Caitriona bursts out laughing and derails the interview. Gushing over his close pal and co-star, Sam said: "Proof! @caitrionabalfe is a brilliant costar and terrible corpser! We've had a great year with plenty laughs, can't wait to show you Season 7!"
Fans loved the sweet video and took to the comments. One commented: "How do I make her laugh my ringtone??"
"miss you both so much!! You are simply the best. After a second I had to laugh right along with you. Can't wait to see season 7," another wrote. A third said: "You two are just too adorable for words! Better Together!"
Sam and Caitriona have become close pals over the years since joining the show, as both of their careers have skyrocketed since. Caitríona previously told Elle: "Sam's just so kind. He's a really good friend. He always checks in. I don't know, he has one of the biggest hearts and smallest egos that I know."
She added: "I feel very lucky. Sam and I have an amazing bond, we're really great friends."
Speaking highly of the Outlander team, Sam previously said: “Do you know what gets me out of bed at seven, or four, or five in the morning is probably just my co-workers, right?”
“It’s like we’re all in it together and we’re all doing it and I think that as soon as I get in my car and I go to work… I’m with my driver and my makeup artist and then the whole gang is there. It’s just fun, we’re a big family, we are.”
