OUTLANDER star Sam Heughan has said “most of the cast” will be going to see Taylor Swift perform in Edinburgh over the next few days.
The US pop star is taking the Eras Tour to Murrayfield stadium from Friday to Sunday, with thousands of Swifties expected to flock to the nation’s capital – including the cast of Outlander.
In a video posted on his Instagram story whilst on the Outlander set, Heughan (below) said he hopes Swift will “fall for a man in a ginger wig”.
“We’re going to go see Taylor Swift play in Scotland, and I think most of the cast is going,” Heughan said.
“She obviously doesn’t know this, but when she comes to Scotland and she sees me in the audience, she’s going to forget all about ... him, and fall for a man in a ginger wig,” he added with a pause to the camera, referring to Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Heughan continued: “How could she resist? She’s going to shake him off and take me out instead. I’m really excited.”
He finished the video by making a love-heart shape with his hands towards the camera.
Fans have already begun queueing for Taylor Swift merchandise at Murrayfield ahead of the concerts, which are expected to be among the biggest ever held in Scotland.
Businesses across Edinburgh have also been preparing for the gigs, with various bars and restaurants offering special menu items to celebrate the occasion.
And on Wednesday, First Minister John Swinney welcomed Taylor Swift to Scotland, saying the renaming of Loch Tay as "Loch Tay Tay" in her honour was "just fabulous".
