After a slow start to the new season, Sam Hauser has come alive for the Boston Celtics. The third-year forward has been making an impact on both sides of the floor and is proving himself to be one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA. Yet, despite all the made threes and all the defensive stops, it’s his dunks that seem to be getting people talking.
Recently, Hauser sat down with NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin for an exclusive interview. The former undrafted talent discussed his growth as a player and upturn in production. There was a common theme in Hauser’s answers: confidence. He is trying to maintain confidence in his shooting, his defense, and everything else that comes his way on the floor.
So far, so good. Hauser is shooting 46.5% from the field this season and converting 42.6% of his three-point attempts. He’s also holding his opponents to 48.9% shooting from the field. Hauser has every right to feel confident in his current production level.
