Sam Fender's brother Liam to play headline show at Newcastle's Riverside following release of single

Sam Fender's brother Liam will play a headline show in Newcastle following the release of his debut single.

Liam Fender, from North Shields, North Tyneside, released his single 'Love Will Conquer' on Friday. The musician and songwriter will perform at Riverside on the Quayside on Thursday, December 8. He will be joined on the night by special guest Bugman.

On Monday afternoon, Riverside posted on social media: "After releasing his debut single 'Love Will Conquer' last week, Liam Fender is coming to Riverside!"

Presale tickets for the show will be available on Tuesday, November 1 at 10am. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, November 4 at 10am. They will be available to purchase via the Gigs North East website.

Back in April this year, Liam performed The Dying Light with Sam and his band at the Utilia Arena. He was invited on stage during the home legs of their Seventeen Going Under tour.

Last week, Sam announced he would headline TRNSMT festival in Glasgow next year along with the 1975 and Pulp. It will be the fourth time he has played the festival, which is held on Glasgow Green.
