Sam Fender is set to play two sell-out shows at his beloved NUFC's St. James Park next summer - after ticket sites ran dry less than an hour after general sale launched.
The young North Shields rock star initially only scheduled one night at the Premier League ground for June 9, 2023, but after a whirlwind of support, organisers announced a second date the following night.
Tickets for both shows sold out completely within the first hour of going on sale, leaving many fans disheartened that they won't see their 'local hero' play at the stadium next summer.

It has now been revealed that shameless ticket touts are preying on the expense of the most die-hard punters, hopeful of getting their hands on a ticket or two - with passes for the show being listed on common resale sites at highly inflated prices.
Tickets officially priced by Fender ranged between £52.25 and £63.25, but eagle-eyed internet browsers have spotted them selling for as much as £1,121 online. In a bid to clampdown on ticket touting, Sam took to social media to release a warning that anyone caught with resale tickets will not be given access to his show.
Taking to Instagram earlier this afternoon, the 28-year-old, wrote: "Please only buy tickets from official vendors which are listed on my website. Twickets or your ticket agent's face value resale platform are the only safe places to buy tickets that people don't need.
"Tickets bought and sold on other sites (such as Viagogo) are not valid and will not be accepted."
And fans of Fender were quick to take to social media to express their disgust, after spotting tickets selling for ridiculously inflated fees. One Twitter user, said: "Some “fans” now selling tickets on @StubHub and @viagogo are selling @samfendermusic tickets for the reasonable price of £826!!!! It’s abhorrent!!!" while another, penned: "Lovely to see Sam Fender tickets have already been put on tout sites for almost £800."
A third, echoed: "My 70+ year old dad is the BIGGEST @samfendermusic fan and has been desperate to get tickets for the gigs at St James’ Park - they’re all sold out and already on Viagogo for £500-£700+. How is this fair?"
A fourth, posted: "Gutted I couldn’t get tickets for St. James for me and my family… but some certain sites want closed down, extortionate prices at 14 x their face value. When will this stop? Genuine fans can’t get a look in, for pure greed."
