Sam Fender joined big names like Dua Lipa and Heartstopper star Kit Connor at a lavish dinner party thrown by Elton John this week.
This year has been another memorable one for the North Shields singer. As well as touring the world, playing out two sell out shows on home turf at Newcastle's Utlita Arena and winning a Brit Award, Sam got to play Glastonbury for the first time, having had to pull out in 2019 due to illness. He lit up the festival's iconic Pyramid Stage on Friday night, with his performance being lauded as headliner worthy by everyone who witnessed it in the flesh and those who watched it live from the comfort of their own homes.
Sam also played the biggest gig of his career to date at Finsbury Park, with the live album released this week, as well as announcing two shows at St James' Park for next summer and a support slot for one of his music idols, Bruce Springsteen, in Italy.

That means he should have had a lot to talk about when he joined Elton and his husband David Furnish for dinner this week. And he was in good company as others round the table included fellow Brit winner and Hallucinate singer Dua Lipa; Scissor Sisters icon and Masked Singer star Jake Shears, Garmmy nominated musician Andrew Watt and Kit and his fellow Heartstopper cast members, Sebastian Croft and Will Gao.
Music legend Elton shared a photo of the party on his Instagram and captioned it: "Epic dinner," with Jake replying: "Thank You for such a fun, inspiring night!!" One of his followers commented: "sam fender with the cast of heartstopper and dua lipa????? is this a fever dream," with another reacting: "this is my multiverse of madness."
