Sam Fender has already announced a second date at St James' Park, after exceptional demand for presale tickets.
Fans were left delighted last week when the Seventeen Going Under star announced he and his band would be playing on the pitch at Newcastle United's famous ground on Friday, June 9, saying: "It's a childhood dream come true. I always joked that one day we might play St James' Park in Newcastle, the biggest stadium in the north east, and now we're actually gonna play it on the 9th June next year. It's gonna be such a special moment and I hope you all join us for it."
Pre-sale tickets for Sam went on sale at 10am, with fans scrambling to get tickets. And demand was so big for tickets, that within an hour Sam had announced that all pre-sale tickets had been snapped up, adding that a second show at ST James' had already been confirmed for Saturday, June 10 2023.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "St James’ presale sold oot!!! So we’ve added an EXTRA DATE on Saturday June 10th.Tickets for both shows on sale this Friday at 10am."
General sale tickets tickets for both of the huge stadium shows will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, September 9 via Ticketmaster and See Tickets.
Reaction to Sam's announcement has been massive, with fans unable to get their hands on pre-sale tickets over the moon there's another concert. One reacted: "YOU BROKE THE INTERNET," with another tweeting: "I’ll cry if I can’t get tickets for either man."
Others hit out at the pre-sale, with one moaning: "presale was hella stressful, spent an entire hour staring at the screen with no luck at all, hoping friday will be better."
