Former Newcastle United midfielder Geremi has thanked part owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi for the invitation to return to St James' Park.
Geremi was signed by former Magpies boss Sam Allardyce in 2007 following spells at Real Madrid and Chelsea, and spent two-and-a-half years on Tyneside.
The former Cameroon international was in attendance on Tuesday night as United earned a vital victory over relegation rivals Everton.

Goals from Ryan Fraser, Kieran Trippier and a Mason Holgate own-goal helped lift Eddie Howe's side out of the relegation zone for the first time since October.
Geremi showed his appreciation for the invitation and hospitality from the club's new owners in an Instagram post published after the final whistle.
The 43-year-old shared a picture of himself with Ghodoussi, as well as video of Trippier's emphatic late free-kick which wrapped up the points.
Geremi posted: " Thank you @nufc and @mehrdadghodoussi_ for the invitation to such a great match.
"It is always a pleasure to to be back to see the fans and a place I have amazing memories from."
Geremi's return to St James' Park was well received by supporters, judging by the responses to the post.
