Leeds United have confirmed the appointment of Sam Allardyce as their new manager until the end of the season.
The Whites have sacked Javi Gracia, who only collected three wins from 11 games in the Premier League since succeeding Jesse Marsch in February.
Leeds are 17th in the Premier League and are only separated from the relegation zone on goal difference. They have four matches left to rescue themselves from the drop and face league leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Gracia was appointed on a "flexible contract", and Leeds decided to replace him with Allardyce with their Premier League status hanging by a thread.
Allardyce has managed over 1,000 games during a managerial career stretching almost 30 years, and has taken charge of an astonishing total of 537 matches in the Premier League.
Alongside his short-lived spell at England, Allardyce has taken in spells at 10 different clubs, including most notably Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United and West Ham United.
Leeds need points fast and Allardyce boasts a strong track record in terms of keeping clubs in the Premier League. However, his previous role saw him receive the first blot on his CV when West Brom tumbled out of the Premier League in 2021.
Allardyce has averaged five points across his first four games at each club he has managed during his career. This would give Leeds a projected points total of 35, which according to the Sporting Post has only been enough to escape relegation on one occasion in the past decade.
