While prolific writer Salman Rushdie is still recovering from a brutal attack last year, a Twitter user recently threatened to harm the Booker Prize-winning author on social media. Reacting to it, Rushdie took to Twitter and called out the troll.
For the unversed, Rushdie was stabled multiple times by a man identified as Hadi Matar in August 2022 during an event in upstate New York. As a result, Rushdie was hospitalised for six weeks. And while he survived the brutal attack, he lost sight in one eye, has a paralysed hand, and a damaged liver. In a recent interview with the BBC, Rushdie shared that he continues to get “crazy dreams” about the incident even today.
