Hundreds of people took to the water at Salford Quays this afternoon for a charity boat race with a difference.
The Xinhua Chinese Association UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival sees crews from a number of local companies and organisations go up against each other in dragon boats - all for charity.
The festival also featured traditional Chinese singing, dancing, and food, making it great fun for spectators and participants alike.

Dragon boat races usually consist of 11 paddlers and one drummer, who paddle to the beat of the drum and race against another team to see who arrives quickest.
