On Nov. 26, Copenhagen-based label Saks Potts announced that it will close its doors in spring 2025. Over its decade in business, the brand’s fur-trimmed Foxy Coat became a winter staple for the likes of Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner, while its rugby polo shirts and denim attracted a close-knit circle of fashion insiders. Co-founders Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts explained in a joint statement posted on Instagram that, despite annual sales growth of 25 percent, they felt the time was right to shut down.
“From the beginning, we have strived to deliver what people didn’t expect, and this decision feels like staying true to exactly that,” the co-founders wrote. “Now ten years into our journey, it felt like we could either shake everything up completely or we could turn the page, say a beautiful farewell to our business, at a stage that felt like the highest point, and start a new chapter of our lives.”
