Health Secretary Sajid Javid did not rule out joining a Conservative leadership race in a Covid press conference as he insisted he's followed all the rules.
Mr Javid reflected on his own personal anguish recalling the times he couldn't "got to a close friend's funeral" and couldn't see his mum who lives alone.
And once again expressed his "anger and pain" by photos of Number 10 staff hosting parties.
When asked if he'll be throwing "his hat into the ring" if the Prime Minister is ousted, Mr Javid said: "We have a leader... and I have a very important job to make sure health and social care is the very best it can be."
He added: "I fully support the Prime Minister and as I said a moment ago, it's important for me and to the country that [the Prime Minister's] come to the House to apologise.
"I think it's right that we're waiting for the outcome fo the report."
After leaked footage of Number 10 staff including Allegra Stratton showed them joking about lockdown Christmas parties Mr Javid missed a media round.
He later explained he found the video extremely upsetting.
Mr Javid reiterated the PM's plans insisting Brits must "learn to live with Covid like we live with flu" in the press conference.
Earlier today, the PM ditched work from home guidance, the need for people to wear face masks and scrapped the use of Covid passports.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan blasted the Government's announcement, urging Londoners to continue wearing face masks when travelling on TfL services.
Mr Khan said: "The Government should rethink their plans and keep legislation in place to make them mandatory on public transport as well as in shops and indoor public venues."
