The 49ers used their first-round pick in the 2023 draft as part of the trade up to No. 3 overall in the 2021 draft. That was one of three first-round choices they sent to Miami, along with a third-round choice in the 2022 draft.
San Francisco would’ve owned the No. 29 pick. They sent that to Miami in 2021, but it changed hands multiple times and eventually landed with the New Orleans Saints. They used the selection to pick up Clemson defensive lineman Bryan Bresee.
Bresee posted 15 tackles for loss and 9.0 sacks in 26 games (21 starts) as an interior defensive lineman for the Tigers.
The 49ers, barring a trade, will be back in the first-round in 2024 with the ripple effects from the Lance trade now done.
