Saints take the ball away twice in first quarter, only score 3 points

The New Orleans Saints offense has found similar struggles to the last couple of weeks despite the defense and special teams giving them plenty of chances to make something happen. The Saints won the turnover battle 2-0 in the first quarter but walked away with just three points.

That’s obviously not ideal. Their first takeaway came on a nice forced fumble by Paulson Adebo. It was the first play after a missed field goal. After the offense failed to do anything they punted the ball. The ball was then muffed as Isaac Yiadom pushed the Jaguars gunner into Jamal Agnew to forced the miscue.

However, the Saints offense still failed to capitalize fully after they had to settle for a field goal despite starting the drive on the Jaguars’ 16-yard line. Rookie kicker Blake Grupe continued his skid on a missed field goal try from 51 yards and later made a 23-yard chip shot to at least put some points on the board.
