Sainsbury's rolls out £2 fruit and vegetable boxes in a bid to reduce food waste

Sainsbury's have introduced £2 fruit and vegetable boxes in a bid to become more environmentally friendly and reduce food waste.

The boxes will be called 'Taste Me, Don’t Waste Me' are now being made available in more than 200 selected supermarkets across the UK.

It follows a successful trial back in January of this year, according to The Grocer, with the products carefully selected to ensure freshness. The boxes include a variety of surplus fresh fruit and vegetables sold at a lower price to make it more affordable amid the ongoing cost of living crisis. Shoppers can find the boxes in Sainsbury’s fresh produce aisle.
