Sainsbury’s recall certain item as fears rise amid salmonella warning

An urgent warning has been issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) after salmonella was found in a product being sold at Sainsbury's.

The Daily Gazette reports that the FSA has alerted customers about the product, and advises them to return it to the store for a full refund.

A batch of Yarden Tahina, which is a dip produced by Osmem UK, was found to have a presence of salmonella bacteria.

This poses a huge health risk if eaten, with symptoms including fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

Notices about the product will be displayed at Sainsbury's stores to advise customers, and those affected can return the product for a full refund.
