Sainsbury's has pulled an in-store advert after a backlash to the billboard. The retailer has issued an apology over the advert for a dress and said it 'won't happen again'.
The advert had the slogan: "For walks in the parks or strolls after dark", which prompted angry social media replies from a number of people, reports BirminghamLive.
A Sainsbury's spokesperson said: "We're sorry that due to the design, some customers found this sign to be inappropriate and are working to remove these from the store. We'll work hard with our agency partner to ensure this doesn't happen again."
