Sainsbury's issue Prime Hydration warning to Edinburgh shoppers as drink hits shelves

A warning has been issued by popular supermarket Sainsbury's to those who are searching for viral hydration drink Prime.

The supermarket has recently joined Asda, Aldi, Morrisons and Costco in selling the popular beverage, created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul.

The hydration drink has been selling out nationwide, as customers line up outside stores to snag a bottle. Retailers have also had to enforce strict limits on the drink, due to how quickly it sold out in other shops.

And now, Sainsbury's has released an official statement which asks customers to refrain from contacting their customer service line to ask about Prime availability, reports Liverpool Echo.

Anyone who wants to find out if their local branch has Prime in stock should visit the location directly to find out if they have any left.

Sainsbury's said: "We know that a lot of our customers are getting in touch with us about the availability of Prime drinks in our stores.

"Just so you know, our Contact Centre colleagues don't have any further information on the stock of Prime drinks currently available in our stores.

"If you'd like to know the availability of Prime drinks in your local store, please visit the store itself where you can see which stock we currently have available."

The supermarket is exclusively stocking Prime Orange and Mango for £2.50 a bottle. All other flavours including Blue Raspberry, Tropical Punch and Lemon Lime are also on sale for £2 each.
