Sainsbury's shoppers have hit out at new packaging on a staple product that they say is "ruining" the food.
Earlier this year the retailer swapped some of its traditional plastic tray packaging for a new vacuum-packed alternative. The move has affected its beef mince range and saved a massive 450 tonnes of plastic annually.
It’s a first for a UK supermarket and will result in a minimum 55% reduction in plastic per product, the Mirror reports.
