Sainsbury's has confirmed that they will stock the sports drink Prime Hydration in the coming weeks.
From Tuesday February 21, the Big Four supermarket will be selling five flavours of the drink, including a limited edition Orange & Mango flavour. It comes after Morrisons confirmed that they would also be stocking Prime, however they have not announced a date at this time.
Prime Tracker, an application which helps fans find bottles, recently shared via twitter that Prime appeared in both the Sainsbury's and Morrisons internal stocking systems.
A Sainsbury's spokesperson said: "We know our customers actively seek the latest in product innovation. We are excited to be launching the following Prime Hydration products in store from Tuesday 21 February."
The products that will be available in stores include:
- Prime Hydration Lemon Lime 500ml - £2
- Prime Hydration Blue Raspberry 500ml – £2
- Prime Hydration Tropical Punch 500ml – £2
- Prime Hydration Ice Pop 500ml – £2
- Prime Hydration KSI Limited Edition Orange & Mango 500ml – £2.50
Prime was launched by YouTube stars Olajide Olatunji - better known as KSI - and Logan Paul. They started the brand alongside supplier and distributor Congo Brands.
it is hugely popular amongst fans of both YouTubers and has previously been available in Asda, Aldi and Spar.
The Prime Tracker phone app which first suggested that the drink may be stocked in Sainsbury's has been endorsed by the company's co-owner KSI. He said in a YouTube video: "Any parents watching, this is a good app to try and find Prime"
It comes after Scots shoppers queued outside of Aldi stores ahead of opening time to get their hands on the viral sports drink.
