Sainsbury's has confirmed that it will be closing stores on Easter Sunday this year, which falls on April 9. However branches will be open on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.
As somewhat of a guide, supermarkets will likely be open between the hours of 6am and 11pm on Good Friday and Easter Saturday, and 7am to 10pm on Easter Monday, however these times can change depending on the type and location of stores. Fortunately, Sainsbury's website boasts a store locator which can help prospective shoppers find out their nearest shop's opening hours before they head out.
To use the store locator on the retail giant's website, simply enter the name or location of your local Sainsbury's into the text box and click the magnifying glass icon to search. You can also press the button beneath the text box to search using your current location, if you have set this up on your device.

There are around 23 Sainsbury's stores in Bristol, according to the list on the supermarket's website and Easter opening times for each will be updated in the 'store details' section nearer the time.
Discount supermarket Aldi has also revealed that it will close all 890 of its stores in England and Wales on Easter Sunday, too. Like Sainsbury's, its branches will be open on Good Friday (8am to 10pm), Easter Saturday (8am to 10pm) and Easter Monday (8am to 8pm).
Additionally, these times may vary depending on the specific branch. You can find Aldi's own store finder on its website here, with some 13 branches listed for the Bristol area.
Other supermarkets are yet to release details of their Easter opening hours, but it's worth checking their websites for updates as we get closer to the holiday.
