Sainsbury’s adds £2 fruit and veg boxes to its shelves across UK stores

Sainsbury's has announced the introduction of £2 fruit and vegetable boxes, following a successful trial in January. They will be available for purchase at more than 200 chosen stores nationwide, Money Saving Expert reports.

The "Taste Me, Don't Waste Me" boxes are expected to contain a selection of surplus fresh produce that would have otherwise gone to waste.

The boxes are located in the fresh produce sections of Sainsbury's. The project is a part of the retailer's pledge to reduce food waste by half along its value chain by 2030.
