NEW DELHI: Delhi captain Himmat Singh's decision to misread the pitch conditions and make questionable selections proved costly as B Sai Sudharsan's impressive maiden double century propelled Tamil Nadu to a strong position of 379 for 1 on the first day of their Group D Ranji Trophy match.
The left-handed Sudharsan remained unbeaten on 202, sharing a 168-run opening partnership with N Jagadeesan (65 off 101) and an unbroken 211-run stand for the second wicket with Washington Sundar (96 not out off 170 balls).
