Safety measures on the Elizabeth line to stop passengers being trapped and dragged by trains were not effective at a west London station, according to the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB).
The finding follows an independent investigation into an incident which took place just after midnight on Sunday 24 November 2024, when a passenger became trapped in the doors of a westbound train at Ealing Broadway station while attempting to board.
