The government advisor on safety at sports grounds is 'concerned' by reports of overcrowding at Hillsborough during the FA Cup third round tie between Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle on Saturday.
The Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA) revealed it will begin a review, after Newcastle fans claimed on social media there was a lack of stewarding in the Leppings Lane End before kick-off and that they were crammed in.
The Football Association will also look into the reports. 97 Liverpool supporters died after a crush in the stand in April 1989, during their FA Cup semi-final tie against Nottingham Forest.
