Sadiq Khan announces biggest London Tube and bus fare hike in a decade

Tube and bus fares will rise by an average of almost five per cent in a fortnight, Sadiq Khan announced on Monday.

The hike, which is below the current 5.4 per cent rate of CPI inflation, is the biggest annual jump in Transport for London fares in a decade and will mean passengers paying an estimated £151m more to travel this year.
