Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane is understood to be keen on staying in Germany despite reports linking him with a transfer to Arsenal and Chelsea this summer. Bayern are open to selling the 31-year-old just 12 months after signing him from Liverpool after Mane was involved in a bust-up with Bayern team-mate Leroy Sane earlier this season.
The Gunners were given the chance to sign the Liverpool legend in 2012 but decided not to because he wasn’t “impressive enough”. This was just before he signed for Red Bull Salzburg at the age of 20, where he went on to score 45 goals in 87 games.
Arsenal have been urged by Manchester United icon Louis Saha to sign Mane just months after the ex-Liverpool forward was involved in a touching moment with Bukayo Saka at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony. Incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to add a new forward to the squad ahead of next season and this could see the Blues potentially make a move for the 31-year-old.
