Sadio Mane insists that he is happy at Liverpool after scoring a match winning goal against Aston Villa on Tuesday evening that keeps the Reds' Premier League title hopes alive.
Jurgen Klopp's side arrived at Villa Park knowing that only three points would do, but had to come from behind after Douglas Luiz had given Steven Gerrard's side an early lead. Joel Matip poked home a quick-fire equaliser before Mane directed a close range header home mid-way through the second half to wrap up a vital away win.
Senegalese forward Mane has been the subject of speculation this week, linking him with a possible move to first Bayern Munich and then Barcelona, with only a year left to run on his current Anfield contract. But speaking after his match-winning performance, the 30-year-old was happy to set the record straight about his contentment on Merseyside.

Speaking to Sky Sports about his winning goal, Mane said: "I think it was possible because it was a good cross from (Luis) Diaz. I just needed to put it into the net, even without power, I usually try and score and normally I do. H e (Diaz) is a very good player. We know each other very well, we train everyday, and I know that when he has got the ball I know where he is going to put it."
When asked how happy he was about being at Liverpool, he added: " Yeah, I am happy here, I think when we win trophies I am happier! But I think I am trying to enjoy every moment, trying to assist my team mates and I think the boys make it a lot easier for me, and I am very happy."
Mane's teammate and Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, was keen to lavish praise on his colleague. He said: "His performances are always incredible. The amount of work he does for the team, on and off the ball as well. Defending at the end, winning the ball high, his quality around the box and you saw that with his finish. He got us the three points but it was always going to be tough, but it is another big game at the weekend."
