Sadio Mane Liverpool's exit moves closer as forward arrives in Germany for Bayern Munich medical

Sadio Mane's move to Bayern Munich is edging closer as he's arrived in Germany to undergo his medical.

Footage shared by Sky in Germany shows the Senegalese disembarking a private jet at Munich airport on Tuesday morning. The two clubs agreed a deal last week and Mane's six years at Anfield is set to come to an end.

Liverpool initially rejected two offers from the Bundesliga champions before the two clubs eventually reached an agreement last week. The Reds are guaranteed £27.4m for the 30-year-old with a further potential £7.7m in add-ons based on appearances and team achievements.

Mane arrived at Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 and has gone on to make 269 appearances, scoring 120 goals in that time. He's won everything he possibly could, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

Now, he's set to embark on a new journey in his career with Bayern Munich and Sky Sports report he will undergo his medical today (Tuesday June 21) before visiting his new club's facilities.

Further reports from Journalist Fabrizio Romano claim Mane could be unveiled by the Bavarians at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday. He's set to join them on a three-year deal.

There was suggestion Mane's arrival could spell the end of Robert Lewandowski's time at Bayern as the Poland international is subject to intense interest from Barcelona. However, Sky in Germany now report the German club are still doing all they can to convince him to stay.

They claim Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic flew to Spain last week to meet with the player in a last attempt to to see out his contract, which expires at the end of next season.
