HYDERABAD: Sadhguru launched the fifth edition of the Green India Challenge (GIC) at Shamshabad on Thursday and said that the Telangana ku Harita Haram and GIC are role models for the entire country. He said that all other states should accept the challenge.
Sadhguru said that he is on a world tour as part of the 'Save Soil' movement and that he was overwhelmed upon seeing the lush greenery while entering Telangana. As part of the 'Save Soil' movement, Sadhguru started his journey to Bengaluru from Hyderabad on Thursday. On his way, he planted saplings at Golluru in Shamshabad and launched GIC 5.0 along with MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, who began the challenge in 2018.
The spiritual guru said that indiscriminate use of chemicals would destroy the earth and it would be a big threat to the generations.
Sadhguru said that there is no alternative to the earth and soil.
