A timely ton from Sachin Baby and a double blow early into the Assam innings by the Kerala bowlers put the visitors firmly on top of their Ranji Trophy encounter at ACA Stadium, Guwahati on Saturday.

Baby's 131 (148 balls, 16 x4, 5x6), his 11th first-class hundred, helped Kerala overcome a mid-innings stutter and post 419 on the board. By stumps on Day 2, the visitors had reduced the hosts to 14 for two.
