NEW DELHI: Veteran batter Sachin Baby stood tall for Kerala, guiding his team to 206/4 against a disciplined Gujarat bowling attack on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy semifinal in Ahmedabad on Monday.

The 36-year-old southpaw anchored the innings with a patient, unbeaten 69 off 193 balls (8x4), occupying the crease for two full sessions to keep Kerala’s maiden final hopes alive.
