Sabrina Carpenter will not allow the Donald Trump to use her songs to benefit their ‘inhumane agenda’

Those who are even mildly aware of what is going on in American politics would know that the current administration isn’t necessarily the most immigrant-friendly. Since Donald Trump became president for a second term at the beginning of this year, under his guidance, multiple immigrant crackdown measures have been taken to rid the country of alleged “illegal aliens.” The process of doing that hasn’t really been the most ethical, and definitely not humane.

It has become evident that the Trump administration and several Republicans have a strong dislike for the immigrant population in the United States, which is why they have been targeting them all year long. ICE raids have taken place in multiple states across the country, and if you scroll through social media, you will likely come across at least one post condemning the extreme tactics employed by the agency during these raids. People are being racially profiled, forcibly taken from their homes, families are being separated, and children are being put behind bars.

Not only that, but individuals are also facing unnecessary violence during these raids and when they protest against the arrests. To make matters worse, Donald Trump and his loyal supporters believe that the administration is doing a service to Americans by attacking the migrant population. They boast about their “achievements” during press conferences, on social media, and elsewhere. They even take the time to edit these raids and arrests to the latest trending songs and share them online as a way to flaunt their successes. I mean, causing harm to people doesn’t really count as an achievement, but it’s no surprise that Republicans would think so.

In a recent example of their tendency to showcase their accomplishments in the area of immigrant enforcement, the Trump administration found itself in hot water with one of America’s biggest pop stars. On December 2, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of The White House shared a video that compiled several clips of ICE arrests made across the country in recent months. The video featured Sabrina Carpenter’s popular song “Juno” as its background music, and the post was captioned, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye.” Shortly after the post went live, Sabrina Carpenter herself voiced her displeasure about her song being used in this manner, labelling it “evil” and “disgusting,” and cautioned against using her music to promote their “inhumane agenda.” Following this, many of Carpenter’s fans chimed in on the comment section to show their support for her.

One person while expressing their love for Sabrina Carpenter said:

Another individual, while extending their support for “new generation popstars, said:

Several others showed their appreciation for Sabrina Carpenter for refusing to associate her name with the Trump administration’s sinister practices.
