Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have broken up, and it looks like the boy with the thick accent DID embarrass the pop star, after all.
An insider told People that the pair have “decided to take a break”, due to the couple being “young and career-focused”. This smells like a PR move to me, with Sabrina’s camp likely wanting to prevent the pint-sized pop star and her former beau from some vicious rumours.
You see, in Deuxmoi’s latest newsletter, there’s a blind item (AKA a juicy, unverified tidbit of gossip) that makes it sound like Barry cheated on Sabrina. God, what hope do the rest of us have if even Sabrina is shit outta luck?!
Now, nothing has been confirmed yet, so please take all the below with a grain of salt, or the whole damn salt shaker if you will. Still, it’s tea!
The Deuxmoi subject line is about “the cute boy with the thick accent”, AKA Mr. Barry Keoghan, and it talks about his relationship with an A-list singer, AKA Ms Sabrina Carpenter.
“On the closing night of her biggest tour to date in LA, he was busy getting very cosy at San Vicente Bungalows with a blonde, semi-famous, LA based influencer (who’s particularly big on TikTok),” the blind item says.
“I snooped around a bit of curiosity and apparently he and his popstar girlfriend called it quits very suddenly less than a week before her final shows in LA after she found out he had been chatting with said influencer behind her back for months in a not-innocent-at-all way; she had even gone to find him while he was filming in the UK, eager to keep him company while his girlfriend was touring in the US.”
Apparently Barry had actually “messed up before” in their relationship, and while Sabrina had forgiven him, “infidelity is where she draws the line”.
It’s heavily rumoured that Sabrina’s next single pushed to the public will be “Bed Chem”, a sexy song where she talks about Barry and how she wants to jump him, so it makes sense she wants to keep this whole sitch a bit under wraps.

According to Deuxmoi, Sabrina’s next music video has already been filmed and contains “very obvious references” to Barry. Yikes!
“The popstar wants to keep the situation under wraps at least until January… but the influencer is running her mouth a lot and he isn’t doing much to stop her so I’ll be surprised if they manage to do that,” Deuxmoi’s blind item adds.
At least Sabrina will have lots of material to draw on for her next album! Silver linings and all that jazz.
