Tourism operators in regional South Australia will get a $25 million boost if the state's Liberal Party is re-elected at the March 19 poll.
Premier Steven Marshall announced the funding would be rolled out over five years and was aimed at helping the sector take advantage of the post-pandemic travel bounce.
"The fund will be available for capital works, infrastructure and facilities that enhance nature-based, farm-based, fishing-based and other tourism opportunities," he said.
Money could also go towards new or improved regional accommodation.
Mr Marshall said the cash, dubbed the 'opening our great outdoors' fund, will require co-contributions from the private sector.
The announcement comes after the Liberals earlier this week pledged to establish an $18 million fund to attract more direct international flights into Adelaide if re-elected.
The state's Labor opposition, meanwhile, used campaigning on Wednesday to pledge investment at Modbury Hospital in Adelaide's northeast.
The promise includes $28 million to build a new cancer centre, plus $53.7 million to rebuild the hospital's 20-bed mental health facility and expand it to 24 beds.
Labor will also spend $87 million to establish 48 extra permanent sub-acute beds at the hospital.
Opposition Leader Peter Malinauskas said the overall investment would result in 72 extra beds.
"This is a wholesale upgrade of the services available at the hospital," he said.
