S4C looking for TV lovers to star in Welsh language Gogglebox

S4C Channel 4 Gogglebocs Cymru Studio Lambert Wales

The Welsh-language broadcaster S4C is in search for people to take part in its new series, Gogglebocs Cymru. At the beginning of August, it was announced a Welsh language version of the popular TV show Gogglebox, from Channel 4 and Studio Lambert, would be made.

The Welsh language spin-off will be produced by independent production services Cwmni Da and Chwarel, and will be aired in the first week of November this year to coincide with the channel's 40th birthday. This is the first time Studio Lambert and Channel 4 have licensed the popular franchise to another UK based broadcaster.

70% of the content will be bilingual Wales-based programming, such as content from S4C itself, as well as ITV Wales and BBC Wales. While the remaining 30% will be coming from UK broadcasters and SVoDs, which may include content from Netflix or HBO Max.
