S Club 7 fans can't get over Tina Barrett's real age as band reunite for anniversary tour

S Club 7 fans are feeling their age as the band reunite 20 years on from originally splitting - with some members of the group appearing not to have aged a day since they last dominated the charts.

The 00s pop band appeared on The One Show on Monday night to confirm they are getting the S Club party started once again this year - announcing their 11 date tour in the UK and Ireland tour which will see all seven members take to the stage once again.

But as the pop icons caught up with Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas on the BBC show, some music fans couldn't quite get over just how little Tina Barrett has aged over the years - with some viewers stunned to learn the singer's age.

Speaking on The One Show, S Club 7 revealed it felt like the right time to reunite and explained how their manager Simon Fuller reached out to them about the tour.

In a statement issued on Monday, the group, consisting of Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens, and Tina Barrett, said: "After eight years it feels amazing to announce that we're reuniting and performing together again. We're so excited to bring the S Club Party back to our fans across the country to celebrate 25 years of S Club 7.

"We can't even believe it's been so long! Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we've ever done. We hope everyone can join us for one big party!"

During their first TV appearance since reuniting on Monday, Rachel joked that some of the band's skimpy outfits from the 00s might not be reprised, but said the group are excited to "sing our hearts out".

Viewers quickly noted how while the band may not dress like it's 00s these days, one member certainly looks exactly the same as they did back in the day.

"Tina S Club hasn’t aged has she," one Twitter user quipped as The One Show aired.

"Tina Barrett from S Club 7 is 46?! She looks like she’s still in her 20’s," another added, as a one stunned viewer declared: "Tina from S Club is 46?!! #TheOneShow."

The band's exciting announcement comes after Jo, Rachel and Tina reunited on the red carpet at the BRITs on Saturday, looking glamorous and chic as they posed for pictures together.

Formed by Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller, S Club 7 spent five years at the top with four UK Number One singles, one UK Number One album and sold over 10 million albums worldwide, before splitting in 2003.

They made a short comeback as a three-piece back in 2008 shortly after Jo O'Meara's controversial appearance in Celebrity Big Brother, along with Paul Cattermole and Bradley McIntosh, with changing members leading to the band being rebranded as S Club Allstars.

The full line-up reunited for an appearance on Children In Need in 2014 and the mega Bring It All Back tour in 2015, but their upcoming tour will be the first time they have performed together in eight years.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 17.
