Rylan has good news for fans who missed out on Eurovision tickets

Rylan Clark has issued an "alert" to Eurovision fans who missed out on tickets for the huge song contest, which will take place in Liverpool this May.

Tickets went on general sale last week, with the Grand Final selling out in 38 minutes. Thousands of people waited in online queues for tickets, with all nine shows selling out in under two hours.

Eurovision fans were able to buy up to four tickets per purchase for the live shows and six for the preview performances.

Many, however, were left disappointed when they were unable to get their hands on any.

On Monday, Rylan took to Twitter to offer hope to some who missed out. Sharing a tweet from Comic Relief, he said: "WIN @Eurovision TICKETS ALERT!!! x"

Comic Relief will give one lucky winner two tickets to the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final including travel and accommodation.

The prize also includes a meet and greet with Rylan and Scott Mills, who will host BBC's Eurovision coverage, including presenting Eurovision semi finals on BBC Three.

Rylan and Scott will present the first semi final on Tuesday, May 10 and then the second on Thursday, May 12, before Graham Norton takes over for the final on Saturday, May 14.

Eurovision fans can enter the competition by post, or by making a donation to Comic Relief by text. The donation can be cancelled afterwards, and a cancellation will not affect entries to the prize draw.

Outside the official Eurovision shows, there is a two-week cultural festival in Liverpool called EuroFest, which will include free events and see collaborations between artists in the UK and Ukraine.
