Rylan Clark told the same thing by fans as he ditches the filters for natural seflie

Rylan Clark ditched his usual flawless appearance to pose for an equally as flawless natural selfie. The BBC Radio 2 host took to Instagram to share the 'filter-free' image with his adoring followers.

He said to his 1.6 million followers: "Happy No Filter Day," as he shared the barefaced snap which showed him looking completely different to his usual polished look seen on TV when hosting the likes of The One Show, Strictly spin-off It Takes Two and soon-to-be This Morning.

The untouched image showcased the 33-year-old's freckles, which he said were the result of a recent solo trip to Barcelona, and what he described as his 'real' eyes which pierced through the topless snap. Rylan also joked about the various blemishes that were visible on his face.

One of which he said was a "bite"- joking that it was from a spider or a shark as he shared the photo on his Instagram Story, where he captioned it: "Face off. No makeup or filter," before pointing out all the natural additions to his face while he dark locks remained unstyled.

After sharing the photo, he posted videos to further discuss bites found on his body, writing in the caption of one: "Instantly went to add a filter on, but stopped myself." Looking at a mark on his face, the former X Factor star said: "Look at that. I think that's like a snake or something."

He then continued to comment on his physical appearance in another follow-up video. Rylan added: "Also forgot to add, on my neck I've got like three bites there and the makeup artist I was working with today said she thinks its a spider bite," leaving him slightly concerned.

But it was his post on his main grid that was soon racking up the compliments. Rylan's TV mum Ruth Langsford, who he is set to host This Morning with this month, told him: " I LOVE your freckles!" BBC Radio 2 co-star Zoe Ball replied: "L ove this you look so handsome." Fellow TV and radio star Dermot O'Leary commented: " Hannnnnnndsome."

Earlier this month Rylan left fans in awe as he shared that he had been on his first-ever solo holiday. The TV star jetted off to Barcelona for the important break as he said he needed to learn how "to be comfortable with my own company". He shared the proud achievement on Instagram with a video showing highlight from his city break as he admitted he was "nervous" to go on holiday alone.

"For the first time in my life, at 33, I did something I never thought I would, I went abroad… by myself," he captioned his post. "I was nervous but I did it, sometimes you’ve just got to look after yourself. A few days of no one, and nothing, just me. Learning to be comfortable with my own company. Thank you Barcelona."

Loose Women host Ruth was among those to respond, writing: "A first for everything son!" And his It Takes Two co-host Janette Manrara replied: "Wow!! That must have been such a wonderful experience!"
