Rylan Clark's replacement on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two, has finally been announced, after the popular presenter announced he was leaving the role earlier this year.
Former X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother star Rylan proved to be a very popular addition to the Strictly family when he got the job on the BBC2 show, striking up a great partnership with former pro Janette Manrara, so it came as a bit of a surprise when he revealed he was leaving It Takes Two. Sharing a statement online, he said: "After 4 fantastic years it’s time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two. I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show."
Rylan added that he wanted to explore what 'life had in store for him' with many fans predicting that could be the hosting job for the reboot of Big Brother, which ultimately went to AJ Odudu and Will Best. A number of big names were linked with the It Takes Two vacancy, including Jake Sugg and bookies favourite Helen Skelton.
However, after all the speculation, the cat was finally let out the bag on Friday's One Show and it was neither Joe or Helen, but Helen's flow 2022 finalist, Fleur East who is taking on the role. Another member of the X Factor alumni, Fleur reached the last four with new pro Vito Coppola in his first series as a Strictly dancer.
Fleur joined One Show hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp in the BBC studio for the big reveal, telling them: "I've been so nervous," as Alex, another former Strictly contestant, replied: "It's a lot to take in."
