Rylan Clark's new love interest confirmed as Ex On The Beach star after marriage split

Rylan Clark has got himself back on the dating scene following the trauma of his marriage split last year. It has been confirmed that the BBC Radio 2 host and Celebrity Gogglebox star has enjoyed a few dates with a former Ex On The Beach star.

The pair were pictured kissing earlier this week and now Declan Doyle, who is also the ex-boyfriend of Geordie Shore star Nathan Henry, has spoken out about the possible romance between the pair.

Speaking on GB News, the 32-year-old told presenter Mark Dolan: “We’re just dating, it’s been a few dates - we really get on.” He said that they met "at an event a while ago," and joked he was the more famous one out of the two.

He added: "It’s just weird having to talk about it, it’s just been a few dates, it’s really early on, we are enjoying each other's company, but it is going well."

The new relationship between Rylan and Declan is said to have begun in April after the pair were spotted dining at Roka in Canary Wharf, the Mirror reports. They were later seen flirting outside a restaurant in Marylebone with Rylan, 33, holding a glass of red wine during a cigarette break.

Last month Rylan said he was "starting from scratch" when it came to the dating world which is harder now he is a well-recognised face. He told The Sun: "Not only do you have to start again, which is an effort as it is, add to that you are Rylan. It’s a little bit weird.

"You could just go for dinner with a mate and next thing you know someone has took a photo and the next thing you know they are the mystery man."

Rylan and Dan Neal, who met via Big Brother, ended their marriage after six years last year, with the news coming out amid Rylan's four-month break from the spotlight. In more recent months fans of the TV star have seen him open up about his struggles in that period, admitting for the first time in his life he felt 'alone'.

Speaking to The Observer in January, Rylan explained: "I’d got to the point where I didn’t know if I wanted to come back. Or whether I would be able to do this job again. I’d got… quite ill. I went down to just over 9st and I’m 6ft 4in. It got bad. Like, very bad. And I didn’t think it would get better. I needed help…

"Everyone feels like I’m their mate. I was probably talking to five million people a night. But last summer for the first time, I literally felt alone." He added: "I didn’t think I’d be here. I didn’t think I could continue. When asked if he meant continue with work or life itself, he admitted: "Both. I didn’t think I’d actually come back. I was very… gone."

The former reality star turned host then revealed he was admitted into hospital "for safety reasons" because he no longer knew himself. But Rylan has since got his life back on track, returning to work and undergoing a major body transformation. At the start of the year he shared before and after photos showcasing his brand new physique after overhauling his physical and mental wellbeing.
