Rylan Clark has left fans disappointed after they realised what his latest Instagram post was really about. The TV star took to the social media platform to share a string of fancy promo shots of himself ahead of the return of the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off, It Takes Two.
The image showed Rylan having had the full Strictly treatment, with his dark locks perfectly placed and his beard preened. As well as his trademark skinny black jeans, the 33-year-old donned a satin blue shirt of which he left a good few of the top buttons undone.
He was joined by his It Takes Two co-host Janette Manrara who dazzled in a sparkling blue mini-sree with long sleeves and shoulder pad detailing. The dancer-turned-TV presenter added a pair of nude heels to her look, showing off her tanned pins while her short brunette tresses were giving a textured look.

"We are so excited to be back! My little wifey @jmanrara," Rylan typed alongside the images with a string of red heart emojis. Former Strictly pro Janette was quick to reply, writing: " Literally 'little'! [crying laughing emoji]. See photo 3. Cannot wait!"
But fans had mistakingly thought that he had become a contest on the BBC One dance competition. @ jocelynekl said: "Woah, for a moment I thought you were a contestant!" @sarahbansal4455 commented: "Got over excited there for a minute. Thought you were dancing!!"
Others, however, were quick to share their delight at the show returning and the pair being back together. @suetiffin23 said: "Looking fabulous both of you. I can't wait for my wonderful 'Strictly' and 'It Takes Two' fix every day of the week!" @dtrictly_jaljaz wrote: "Awww love these photos and adore this duo!!! Can’t wait for it takes two."
@angelinaballerina1607 commented: "I can't wait!! Amazing photos." @robertmarjoram replied: "Super to have you back… so excited.." @divabeverley posted: "Been waiting all year for you too." @karen.gable.7 added: "Can't wait for SCD to start, need my weekly fix. Looking good you two and colour coordinated."
Speaking about returning to the BBC2 show during Strictly's 20th series, Rylan has said: "It feels so amazing to be back! Being part of the show for the last four years has been a pleasure. To be part of the show for such a big anniversary is such an honour."
He also had a pogning response when asked if had a stand-out dance and/or celebrity dancer from a previous series of Strictly Come Dancing. "I always think back to Caroline Flack," he replied. "It was so beautiful, and even more beautiful looking back now. It’ll always stick in my head. And Rose and Gio doing ‘Symphony’ was amazing. When the music stops it was absolutely beautiful."
Janette added about being back on ITT: "It feels so wonderful to be back on It Takes Two with Rylan! It was a dream come true for me last year and so to be back for my second year, I could not be happier! The 20th series feels like it will be a very special one so I'm absolutely honoured to still be a part of such an amazing show!!"
