Rylan Clark 'concerned' as Helen Skelton struggles to speak after almost being 'exposed' in malfunction on BBC Strictly It Takes Two

Rylan Clark said he was 'concerned' when Helen Skelton appeared to lose all composure on It Takes Two. The Countryfile host joined the TV star on the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off alongside dance partner Gorka Marquez to chat about making it through the grand final of the dance contest.

During Monday night's results show, which had been moved from its ususal slot due to World Cup football pushing the semi-final to 24 hours later than normal on Sunday night, fans of the BBC One competition show discovered the four couples who will be competing for the Glitterball trophy this weekend.

Helen, 39, and Gorka, 32, safely made it through to the final on the public vote alongside Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu and Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystał. Fleur East and partner Vito Coppola had to fight for their place in the last week of the show after landing in the dreaded dance-off for the fourth time.

The Hits Radio host and her Italian dance partner faced Will Mellor and his dance partner Nancy Xu after they both landed in the bottom-two following two routines in the semi-final. But after performing their favourite routine of the night again, the judges opted to save Fleur and Vito with only Anton Du Beke opting to save Will and Nancy.

Following the emotional exit, Rylan was live for a late-night version of It Takes Two on BBC2 where Will and Nancy broke down in tears during their interview. It was then over to Helen and Gorka to lighten the mood and chat about their semi-final weekend and what's to come in Saturday's final with three dances to prepare for.

But when Rylan, 34, was speaking to the duo about comments they had received from Anton Du Beke, Helen appeared to spot her pro partner Gorka, 32, looking down at her hand and so stopped in her tracks. The former Blue Peter star then admitted "I know, I'm having a nightmare!"

She then told Rylan: "I've taken my shoes off because my feet hurt. I've ripped my top so I've got a pin here," Helen laughed as she held up the pin in her hand. The show's presenter then joked in response: "It's fine darling. You're not exposed, it's fine. We're still BBC Two. Put us on at 9 o'clock, this is what happens!"

The pair got the giggles as they chatted to Ryaln (BBC)

"It's all falling apart," the mum-of-three admitted before pointing at her dance partner as Helen added: "He must be the most patient man in the world because he's like, 'You are a mess'." She then suddenly broke into giggles, prompting Gorka to laugh too, and struggled to speak

"I am concerned," Rylan admitted as Helen tried to say she was he 'safe hands' with Gorka. But she lost her composure once again as she confessed: "I don't know what's happening!" A laughing Rylan then asked: "Are you alright?" before being the ultimate pro and steering the chat back in the right direction.

"You've got the giggles. It's because she's a finalist, that's what it is," he said before prompting a round of applause from those in the studio. Helen then eventually commented: "It's been a really intense few months, we were both so emotional, we couldn't really celebrate being a finalist because Will went out, so maybe today it's finally caught up with us."
