Rylan Clark was direct with his questioning as he returned to hosting duties on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two. The TV and radio star was back at the helm of the BBC2 show on Friday night (October 21) and was joined by another star-studded guest panel and two of the show's couples.
Kym Marsh and her dance partner Graziano Di Prima were among the guests joining Rylan in the studio as they chatted about their shock position in last weekend's dance-off, which saw the pair go head-to-head with Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova, before looking ahead to this weekend's performance.
Amid talking about their dazzling samba, which saw them land in the middle of the leaderboard with a score of 31, Grazianocouldn't help but heap praise on former Coronation Street star Kym. He said: "I would like to say to my partner here. First of all I'm extremely proud of you.
"No matter what is going to happen tomorrow, I know this is a challenge for you personally because other than your job and everything, this is a challenge where you're doing something that it is out of your comfort zone and your challenging yourself. But you need to see with your real eyes because sometimes she doesn't see what she is.
"She says like 'I'm horrible, I don't know how to do it' and I mean like, I ain't done an operation in my eyes I can see very well! You're doing brilliant and that's the challenge. That is where we are aiming for. The confidence."
Kymm 46, later said: "I do have a bit of imposter syndrome but I have to..." to which Rylan, 33, abruptly cut her off and told her: "You're Kym Marsh from Hear'Say, what's wrong with you?" to which the actress and singer burst out laughing.
As Graziano and the crew cheered, it was time for Rylan to wrap up their interview and he added: "On that note, I've got the hump, give it up for Kym and Graziano!"
Also on the show, Kym and Graziano revealed they'll be doing the Quickstep on Saturday night to Ballroom Blitz, in a nod to Come Dancing, in the special show which celebrates the BBC's 100-year anniversary and will see all 12 couples perform to either an iconic BBC theme tune or dance in tribute to one of the BBC’s most loved services.
And it appears Graziano has made a change in order to strengthen Kym's chances in the competition. Speaking about how training has been going, Kym said: "Obviously when you're in the rehearsal room and you get on the dance floor for the first time, it feels so different...you've got all the cameras around you, different things going on, no cameras. Although the last two times we've danced we haven't had any mirrors."
She then added: "I think he's done that on purpose. We're trying to overcome that." Kym also revealed that her costume for this week might cause her a few problems as she said the large skirt "weighs a tonne".
