A woman warned holidaymakers after she was stopped from boarding her flight due to the type of bag she was carrying.
Journalist and author Pandora Sykes was due to take an Easyjet flight but was refused entry by the captain because of her "smart bags". Smart bags contain a lithium battery or a power bank and can be used to recharge devices, the Echo reports.
A number of other airlines including Ryanair, Aer Lingus, and British Airways have similar rules against allowing these high-tech bags with lithium batteries in-flight. Speaking on Twitter, Sykes said: "Beware anyone being so foolish to fly Easyjet - captain just refused to let us board our flights because our checked-in suitcases have USB ports (aka “smart bags”).
