Ryanair to launch new route from Scottish airport to city renowned for its food

The flights are now available to book on Ryanair's website (Image: PA)

RYANAIR is launching a new route from Prestwick Airport later this year.

The budget airline will begin a new route between Prestwick and Turin in Italy from December 12.

The flights will run across the winter season, with one departure and arrival from the northern Italian city on a Saturday.

The flights are now available to book on Ryanair's website, with prices for the inaugural flights already reaching £400.

The move follows Ryanair increasing frequencies on five popular routes across Europe this summer from the airport.

Passengers will have more opportunities to fly to Alicante, Faro, Malaga, Murcia and Pisa.
