A Ryanair plane flying back to from Spain was involved in a "near miss" with a private jet.
The plane had not long taken off from Palma Airport, heading back to Manchester, when the pilot found themselves just 100ft away from the other aircraft. The Ryanair Boeing 737-800 was forced to make a quick right hand turn, the MEN reports.
According to airspace rules, the minimum separation should be 1,000ft vertically, with a horizontal distance of between three and five miles. But there was just 100ft between the two before the quick thinking pilot was able to turn the plane and settled the aircraft.
