Ryanair passengers diverted 300 miles to Edinburgh told 'find your own way home'

Fuming flyers have described the ‘appalling’ situation that left them stranded in Edinburgh when their flight was diverted from London Stansted without replacement travel.

Passengers on a Ryanair journey from Oslo were left shocked and confused when they were suddenly informed their flight would be landing in the Scottish capital. Stansted closed its runway on Sunday due to bad weather.

The group then sat in the plane on the tarmac for two hours, before eventually being allowed inside the airport - only to be told they would have to wait on a bus or organise their own travel home.
