Mix-up sees Ryanair passenger board wrong plane at John Lennon Airport

A Ryanair passenger was shocked when he discovered he had boarded the wrong plane.

Elliot Booth was travelling from John Lennon Airport to Barcelona a work meeting. However, the 29-year-old was taken aback when he realised the plane he had boarded was flying to Dublin.

The marketing manager said he was only saved from travelling to the wrong city when another passenger told him he had the same seat number. He said: "I was on the unfortunate end of a Swissport mishap this morning - this was the firm who was running the gates at the time. I was due to travel to Barcelona and arrived at my gate in good time and checked through the gate." - as Yorkshire Live reports.
